Part-time, Faculty - Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN)

Position Summary
The Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) program at Allan Hancock College is seeking applications to develop a qualified pool of part-time faculty for in-person or online instructional vacancies. The assignment may include classes at the Santa Maria campus, Lompoc Valley Center, or online, as needed. Positions may be available during the Fall and Spring semesters, or summer session.

Some clinical placements may require additional immunization and health-related tests in order to operate at the clinical site. The employee is responsible to coordinate and provide this requested information to the clinical site.Essential Functions and Qualifications
The teaching assignment will include one or more courses offered in the program, such as;
- Theory:
- Spring - Fundamentals of Nursing, Medication Administration, Endocrine, and Respiratory Conditions
- Summer - Care of Older Adults, GI/GU, and Skin/Musculoskeletal Conditions
- Fall - Pediatrics, Neurosensory and Cardiac Conditions, and Maternal and Infant Health
- Clinical
- Spring - Clinical 1
- Summer - Clinical 2
- Fall - Clinical 3
Essential Functions and Qualifications
· Provide instruction in accordance with established and Board of Vocational and Psychiatric Technician (BVNPT) approved curriculum and course outlines.
· Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
· Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
· Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
· Teach all scheduled classes.
· Maintain accurate records.
· Assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Active California Professional Registered Nurse License
- Baccalaureate Degree (or Master's Degree) from an Accredited School, or College
- Professional Experience as an RN (at least two years of acute care experience)
- Teaching Course (Certificate of Completion or School Transcript)

Lecture Rate: $57.72 to $77.18 per hour depending upon education and experience
Lab Rate: $50.28 to $67.20 per hour depending upon education and experience
Activity Rate: $37.13 to $50.62 per hour depending upon education and experience
