Responsibilities:
- Assists providers in meeting clinic productivity standards through development of efficient patient flow systems that ensure optimal patient flow with patients processed efficiently and walk-ins triaged expediently.
- RN - Registered Nurse Manager, leads clinical initiatives, such as clinical quality outcomes, to achieve goals and metrics
- Maintains clinic patient flow, focusing on productivity, efficiency and Patient Experience Time. This may also include assigning lunch times and breaks, ensuring exam room is set up, ordering supplies and vaccines to ensure correct supply is on hand, supporting provider productivity, reviewing patient problem list prior to visit with provider, and calling in refills to pharmacy.
- Registered Nurse Manager assists the Clinic Director and Associate Clinic Directors in leading the site in providing quality care to patients. Works with Medical, Nursing, and Program Leadership in the effective implementation and coordination of services and quality of care standards, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinates orientation and training of all nursing personnel at clinic site.
- Assists Clinic Director, Associate Clinic Directors and Charge Nurses and/or Nursing Director in the development of training for the nursing staff to include patient education, sharpening of nursing skills, emergency procedures, etc.
- Works with Charge Nurses ensuring that patients receive quality care in an effective and timely manner.
- Ensures nursing staff provide appropriate and complete documentation in all patient records and in all provider/nurse communications.
- Works withCharge Nurses to ensure that the crash cart/crash box is checked per policy and that medications and supplies are checked monthly for expiration.
- Remains in close contact with Clinic Director and/or Nursing Director for information exchange, problem resolution, and scheduling, staffing and other related issues.
- Participates with management in organizational long-term planning and the development of strategic initiatives.
- Provides effective counseling/guidance to employees. Administers corrective action promptly when needed. Fosters an environment that promotes development and professional growth of employees. Maximizes output from subordinates through an effective, supportive management style.
- Provides leadership and nurse supervision to Charge and Assistant Charge Nurses at clinic.
- Ensures all regulatory standards are met or exceeded and adhered to on an on-going basis (JCAHO, CLIA, DHS - Licensing & Certification, OSHA, etc.)
- Works with Charge Nurses performing orientation and annual performance evaluations
- Works with Charge Nurses ensuring that Mock Codes are conducted according to the annual calendar.
- Works with Charge Nurses ensuring that logs are completed appropriately, including temperature logs, autoclave logs, etc.
- Works cooperatively with other team members in activities related to ensuring health center implementation of all quality concepts, including infection control program, patient satisfaction, etc
Requirements:
- BSN degree required.
- Current California RN license required.
- Current BLS and ACLS Certification from the American Heart Association are required.
- Valid California Driver's License, reliable transportation and appropriate vehicle insurance required some travel necessary.
- Experiencein community-based clinics, out-patient medical clinics, or work in a hospital setting with indigent care patients.
- Progressively responsible positions as a supervisor; Cultural and linguistic sensitivity to populations served. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is strongly preferred.

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base range for this position, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses.
$104,104.00 - $130,011.63If you are hired at Family Health Centers of San Diego, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, jurisdictional requirements, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
